Creative Magic Collective 2026

In 2026, the Creative Magic Collective we embark on a year-long “decan walk” — traveleing through the zodiacal wheel in real time to see the Tarot anew through its astrological foundations.

When Pamela Colman Smith illustrated the iconic Rider-Waite Tarot deck in the early 1900s, her visual interpretations emerged from ancient astrological associations. Her renderings of the Minor Arcana correlate to 10-degree sections of the sky called “decans,” which cover about 10 days of Earth’s orbit around the sun.

For ancient astrologers, each decan was flavored by a different god or goddess, myth or archetype. It was this set of archives — along with other esoteric and spiritual systems like Kabbalah — that guided Colman Smith in animating the Tarot for a new generation.

Whether we’re aware of it or not, we’re drawing upon the art of astrology every time we pick up our decks.

If you’re ready to deepen and expand your Tarot practice…
Grow your fluency in astrology…
And intimately understand your natal chart one piece at a time…

Join us for a transformative learning journey that will transform your relationship with divination, mysticism, and your Self.

I'm coming!

If you’ve been hungry for a deepening and widening in your mystical and spiritual life, but you feel stuck wandering the esoteric wilderness… you’re not alone!

For Cteative Spirits out there trying to piece together a personal cosmology, the world in 2026 is your oyster! Our hyper-digital times give us access to an abundance of teachers and practitioners… more people are conversant and curious about divination… and your phone will serve up more crash-courses, YouTube videos, and podcasts that you could possibly digest in a lifetime.

But wandering through this modern bazaar of teachers, gurus, programs, and content, content, content can get lonely. And confusing. We bounce around from one source to another. We ingest a ton of information but don’t get much guidance putting it into practice. As much as we feel like we maybe we’re finding our way, we can’t help but feel lost, like we’re walking three paths at once and don’t know how they connect.

The Creative Magic Collective’s Astrological Pilgrimage through the Tarot offers a guided, directed path that’s aligned with the movement of the stars, the turning of the Earth, and your lived experience day to day.

🕰️ We get to take our time. No cramming centuries of information into six weeks. Instead, we’re feeling into the energy and archetypes one at a time, as they arise on the wheel of the year, looking for subtle and glaring connections between the Tarot, the planets and signs, and our real lives.

🕯️ We get to explore associations and correspondences across disciplines, but along a directed path — that of the atrological wheel, using each sign and decan as a portal to explore its affiliated Tarot cards.

🫶🏻 We get to move individually, charting our path, and becoming more familiar with our personal natal charts. AND we get to travel together, discovering how other Seekers are experiencing the cards and energies of the signs and planets, deepening our learning through story and real-life examples.

This pilgrimage is for you if…

  • You sense your intuitive perception widening, but don't have a solid framework for correlating and making sense of the synchronicities and messages that land in your lap

  • You want to welcome more Tarot and astrology into your life, but you worry that joining a community means subjecting yourself to soliloquies smothered in toxic positivity and abstract woo that never gets grounded in real life.

  • You’ve tried to learn esoteric concepts through self-study, you adorable auto-didact! But the density and complexity of both systems feels overwhelming, and you wonder if you just don't have the "special abilities" required. (Trust me, you do!)

  • Your Tarot practice has plateaued, and you find yourself thinking of the same key phrases for each card, feeling like a broken record. You’re ready to layer your practice with new systems of knowledge and freshen up your divinatory rituals and readings.

  • You harbor a secret wish to run off to a sacred spiritual site, study with the masters, and lose yourself in ancient libraries, but — hello! — the real world says you’re too bogged down for such lofty sojourns. If you could experience a pilgrimage in the midst of your everyday life, however… that sounds like a dreamy alternative for now!

Take me with you!

Your first decan walk will change the way you experience time, Tarot, astrology & sychronicity…

Picture it… A year from now…

🤯 Suddenly, it dawns on you… The “personality trait” that used to always “get you in trouble” — with yourself and others — no longer mystifies you. It no longer automatically fires when the right triggers go off… Because you’ve seen where it lives in your astrological chart, you know the Tarot combination that describes its essence. Seeing it in your stars spontaneously opened the door to self-compassion, and know you know how to wield this aspect of yourself more intentionally, sometimes as a serious super power!

🔮 You sit down with your cards and instead of repeating the meanings you memorized from the guidebooks, you see so much more — how one Minor Arcana card in your spread is connected to your Venus placement, and how another is associated with the exact day you’re currently living through. Your deck now speaks to you with more subtlety, synchronicity, and solidity, revealing more depth and significance than ever before.

📖 You look back on the past twelve months and feel proud and grateful for the trail map you created of your journey through the Wheel of Fortune year. You fondly hold your journal — filled with Tarot pulls, journal entries, little sketches, insights, and poetry that supported your movement through another wild spin around the sun. This magical journal is proof that you have new tools, skills, perspectives, and possibilities for cultivating magic and tending to yourself through time.

💌 You have three new friends you can text when your reading looks hella magic or super scary — and you know they’ll get it + reply with a sentence that makes you feel seen, held, and understood. You’re brimming with gratitude that you didn’t go it alone this year and chose to explore with a community of curious, creative, down-to-earth, hilarious, and eccentric souls who are also trying to find magic and meaning in a world that feels harsher and harder by the day.

I'm in for the journey!

Your Guides…

Tarot and astrology help me locate myself in time and in the currents of the cosmos. They help me locate myself within a story that gives life meaning and depth.
— Cecily Sailer
Divination is a dialogue. A way to see differently. Where we try to break away from harmful patterns. Process grief and loss together, and make sense of situations outside of our control.
— Sara Pettit

Why I created this pilgrimage (& complexity doesn’t scare me anymore — usually!)…

Hi, I’m Cecily! I created this Astrological Pilgrimage through the Tarot because I know exactly what it's like to feel mystified by magic.

For years, I kept my Tarot deck hidden away, thinking I needed to have been raised by witches or fluent in astrophysics to understand the meaning woven into cosmos.

When Tarot grabbed me by the hair and yanked me (happily!) into the realm of mysticism, I began my studies on my own, picking up nuggets of information, wisdom, and history from assorted places as I went, trying to stitch various ideas into a coherent tapestry. It was fun and fascinating, but also like feeling your way down a dark hallway.

Of course, the Seeker’s journey is never straightforward. And part of the joy lies in the mysteries we encounter along the way, as each new door we open becomes a portal to another rabbit hole of knowledge. But amid today’s glut of Instagram witches, astrologers, and Tarot readers, it’s hard to know who to listen to or what to focus on at any given time.

I’m not here to declare myself an expception to that chorus of modern-day mystics (it’s good we’re all here talking about magic!). I’m only saying: it’s overwhelming trying to navigate the infinite possible paths of learning… and going it alone will only get you so far.

We uncover new facets of meaning when we translate the ancient wisdom of Tarot and astrology into our modern experience together, by sharing our stories and discoveries.

I finally worked with a Tarot and astrology teacher over the last couple years — Christopher Marmolejo, whose work is bringing an important and necessary decolonial lens to both artforms. It was in Christopher’s decan walk, TENZ, that I found a structured, cyclical framework that helped me venture into the study of astrology in a way that felt highly accessible (Tarot!). And I got to do it with some really cool people (one of whom you’ll be meeting and learning from in this decan walk!).

This decan walk is rooted in my 9 years of experience practicing and teaching the Tarot. It’s woven with my recent foundational understanding of astrology… and my belief that attending to time differently — outside the linear Gregorian model — is a powerful way to reclaim our magic from oppressive systems.

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by the giant halls of spiritual study that reach back thousands of years. So, channeling the abundance of Capicorn energy in my chart, I’ll guide us down a dedicated path that allows us to take in information at a pace we can digest, circling back at times (thanks to the wheel!) to help this knowledge root a little deeper.

My commitment is to keep the wisdom fresh: I continue to walk the Decan path with my own teacher, and I've brought in an expert astrologer — Sara Pettit — to ensure you get the technical depth you need, without the heavy-lifting.

Nothing brings me joy like seeing a fellow unfurling mystic trade self-judgment and confusion (for “not getting it”) with self-recognition, ease, and confidence in their own magic. By the end of our decan walk, you’ll realize you have all the capacity you need to find your place in the cosmic fabric.

💫 Now, meet Sara, our resident astrologer!

I met Sara in Christopher Marmolejo’s class, and have always admired her decolonial stance, her sharp insight, her sense of humor, and her nuanced, grounded way of talking about astrology and Tarot. Sara has been studying astrology for longer and more thoroughly than I have, and I wanted to make sure you had a second teacher and guide with a skillset that surpasses mine in many ways!

Sara Petit is an astrologer and Tarot reader based in Oakland, California, on unceded ancestral land of the Ohlone people. Sara was a theater artist in the Bay Area for over a decade, working at the intersection of arts, health education, and social justice. Her love of meaning-making, archetypes, and storytelling led her to astrology and Tarot. She created Mystic Mirror to offer these systems of divination as a mirror for personal development and a map for change. Sara’s astrology and Tarot practice is rooted in the material conditions, collective care, and the liberation of all people. Find Sara on Substack and Instagram.

Hear from folks who’ve been studying with me…

The Creative Magic Collective is an evolving community that began on Patreon during pandemic times and grew into a committed study group of everyday Mystics, Seekers, and Creative Spirits. Through it all, I’ve offered deeper exploration of the Tarot and practices for using Tarot as a trusty resource in creativity and life navigation.

This is our first decan walk, and many of our Creative Magic Collective members are excited to continue learning in community through 2026…

Here’s what they have to say about the Collective and work / play we do together...

🔮 BIANCA: The Collective helped me connect Tarot with my creative side. Without the Collective, I might not have put those two together so quickly. It informed my writing — any time I sit down to write, I pull a card, and that never used to be a part of my practice. Being a part of the community is the biggest thing I’ve gotten in the past year. It feels nice to see the people, see the regulars. I know them, I know their art, it’s nice to feel like I’m a part of a Creative Coven. I feel like I’m connected.

🔮 AMI: The Collective feels comfortable and safe, like popping in on your neighbors and having “a cuppa.” Learning and from Cecily and the community enriches my own practices and well-being. I feel more empowered to step into my magic, experiment, and explore,. In other spaces, I felt like I was in a costume, or wasn't actually making magic because of what I'd been told. My perspective has shifted in my favor because of this community. I'm looking forward to the decan walk, and I'm ready for my confidence and alchemy to grow, which I know this community helps foster.

🔮 ELENI: I want to continue in the Collective because I love the space Cecily’s created and everyone in the community who shows up. This is a space for me to have creative outlets to reflect and be in touch with my more spiritual, mystical side.

🔮 CARISSA: The Collective is a very supportive space where people at all levels, from all backgrounds can learn together. As a more advanced Tarot reader, I learn a lot and have the oportunity to give and receive with others, with fresh perspective going both ways. I also met a friend in my neck of the woods who got me through a very challenging time. Making those kinds of connections is so valuable. I also love that the community is so intergenerationalthere’s so much wisdom across the spectrum of people.

🔮 BETH: The Collective helped me adjust my Tarot practice to fit my life and my pace. It’s a really nice space to be part of, very open, not high-pressure, no one’s performing. It’s a nice change from other groups I’ve been in. I’m looking forward to traveling through things “in order” this year, and see where this takes me in my intuitive practices.

The Collective helped me get to the point of accepting more of myself and find the creative meaning that works best for me.

Ready for the journey of a lifetime?!

You’ve been thinking about this — the hunger for a richer spiritual life — maybe for years.

You’ve tried to deepen your knowledge by wandering alone, picking up tidbits from podcasts and books, hoping the whole cosmic puzzle would assemble itself. But instead, you found yourself overwhelmed, isolated, and feeling like you were constantly behind.

You might be thinking that waiting for more time, or more money, or more confidence will make the next step clearer. But the need for meaning, context, and a safe Circle of Reciprocity hasn’t gone away.

So here is the map and the fellowship, built for your real life and your brilliant, busy brain. The Creative Magic Collective: Astrological Pilgrimage is here to give you the context, the community, and the slow, micro-dosed structure you need to stop worrying about being behind and start experiencing your life as a rich record of transformation.

If this entire page felt like a mirror, if you're ready to trade complexity for deep meaning, and if you want to walk a path that has already transformed my practice—and the practices of so many others—it's time.

The door to the Collective is open, but only for a limited number of new Pilgrims.

Still have questions?

  • A: You are not the problem — the teaching method was. This Pilgrimage does not rely on rushing through dense texts or complicated math. Our core method is the Decan Walk, a structured, cyclical approach that uses the visual, story-based language of the Tarot to unlock the corresponding astrological meanings. You are learning through association and experience, not memorization. We move slowly, giving the wisdom time to sink in and feel like self-recognition, not intellectual burden.

  • A: Yes. This program is intentionally built for the busy, unfurling mystic. You get micro-dosed content—a rich, focused lesson every 10 days—which is designed for reading and applying in 15–30 minute blocks. There is no rigid schedule or mandatory homework. You have the freedom to modulate your involvement based on your capacity. Even engaging minimally will give you the foundational structure you need to transform your year and build a rich record of your evolution.

  • A: We believe the real cost is staying stuck in the pattern of chaotic, unstructured learning. For your investment, you are getting more than just lessons; you are receiving a year-long, guided framework that provides clarity, community, and proven depth. This program replaces years of wasted time wandering, trying expensive one-off readings that rush by, and feeling perpetually behind. You are investing in a safe, compassionate structure that guarantees you will gain deep, usable insight into your own cosmic make-up.

  • A: Absolutely not. This program is the bridge between the two. We assume you have a basic understanding of the Tarot (the 78 cards) and a curiosity about your chart (Sun/Moon/Rising), but nothing more. The Pilgrimage is designed to teach you the foundational connections from the ground up, using the Tarot as the accessible key. With the added benefit of Quarterly Chart Check-Ins with Sara Pettit, you get expert application without needing the expert knowledge yourself.

  • A: Welcome to the Collective! That feeling of not being "witchy enough" or "smart enough" is exactly what we are here to dismantle. The Circle of Reciprocity is a grounded community built for intelligent seekers who embrace skepticism and nuance. We believe the deepest wisdom comes from shared, honest experience, not performance. Your intelligence and skepticism are welcome here.
