Setting Intentions w/ the Wheel of Fortune (& Magician)

2026 is a Wheel of Fortune Year (as 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, the number belonging to the Wheel of Fortune card). When you reduce that further (1 + 0 = 1), you get the number belonging to The Magician.

As the new year gets underway, we’ll explore these two archetypes and how they speak to one another so beautifully — with the Wheel of Fortune focusing on how fate shapes us, while The Magician reminds us that we get to shape our own fate and the arc of our lives.

I’ll talk about deeper layers of both cards (including symbology and astrological associations). I’ll also guide us through a series of prompts to explore how we’d like to connect and play with these archetypes in the coming year. You’ll be guided through a meditation and visualization, as well as a Tarot spread to invite messages from both archetypes about how they want like to work with each of us personally in 2026. We’ll also have time to discuss our discoveries and divinations.

Astrology 101
Wednesday, February 11 / 6:30-8:30pm CT

As we prepare for a “decan walk” in 2026, let’s get oriented on the astrological wheel! (A decan walk, is an intentional study and embodied journey through the 36 decans — 10-degree sections of the zodiac wheel, which are each associated with a minor arcana card. We’re doing this decan walk in the Creative Magic Collective starting with Aries season.)

In this workshop, we’ll take a closer look at the zodiac wheel, noticing where the signs are located and how they’re paired in opposition with other signs. We’ll talk about cardinal, fixed, and mutable signs; the signs and their elements; the twelve houses; the symbols and domains governed by each of the planets; and what it means when a planet is exalted, in detriment, or in its fall.

This workshop is intended for folks with a basic / foundational understanding of astrology who want to get a bit more familiar with the system and slowly, gently develop the ability to look at an astrological chart and conduct some foundational analysis. If you’re coming on the decan walk, this will also get you more familiar with some of the terms and concepts will be drawing on throughout the year.

Reading Your Natal Chart with Tarot

Most of us know: Tarot and astrology have shared ancient connections in the minds and practices of mystics reaching back for centuries. Both systems hold their own beauty and complexity — and the places where they intersect reveal new layers of understanding and meaning.

Each card in the Tarot is associated with a different piece or component of the astrological wheel, which means we can visualize our personal zodiac charts (our natal astrology) with Tarot! This all-encompassing Tarot spread — which represents YOU! — brings together certain cards in unique patterns that help you see and understand yourself through a new frame.

In this workshop, I’ll guide you through the process of representing your natal chart through the Tarot. We’ll also take time to notice the card combinations that emerge and where we want to explore more deeply.

This is an ideal practice as we enter a Wheel of Fortune year (since we’re literally creating a wheel of Tarot!), and we’ll be referring back to these charts as we make our journey through the decans in the Creative Magic Collective (starting in Aries season).

The Aces & Pages
Tuesday, March 10 / 6:30-8:30pm CT

This workshop explores the archetypes of “beginning” in the Minor Arcana of the Tarot — the aces, which launch each suit, and the pages, which move each suit into stages of mastery and higher development.

We’ll talk about how these eight cards can help us understand the width and breadth of each suit (and element) in the Tarot — Cups (Water), Pentacles (Earth), Swords (Air), and Wands (Fire) — and how we can regard and work with these archetypes when they arise in a reading.

In our longer exploration of the decans (within the Creative Magic Collective this year), the aces and pages take a backseat, while all the other cards in the deck appear at least once, sometimes more. But these important, sometimes mysterious cards need stage time for their lessons and stories too!

I’ll guide us through different ways of understanding each card, prompts you can use to work with them more deeply, and a Tarot spread to explore which page and ace are calling out to you as spring gets underway.
