Book Coven: Savage Tongues

Join us for a conversation with Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi, author of Savage Tongues, a novel that explores themes of trauma and healing, love and torture, displacement and belonging, colonization and self-possession, and what it means to rewrite the past and bring language to experiences that seem impossible to define.

Azareen will join us to discuss her creative process, her motivation for writing this book, the story itself, and how magic and divination played a role in the crafting of this novel. This conversation is meant to help you deepen your reading experience and expand your own sense of possibility in your creative work.

It’s not essential that you read the book before this talk in order to reap its benefits, but we encourage you to grab a copy and begin what will be a powerful reading experience.
