Writing Hour

Join fellow writers — of all genres and backgrounds — for an hour to write in community.

Cohosted with writing coach Sarah Cook, Writing Hour is an inviting and inclusive space to reconnect with your creative writing practice.

Bring a work-in-progress, if you have one. We also offer a creative prompt at the start of each hour to activate new ideas.

We finish with an invitation to stick around, share a sentence, and hear what others have created during our time together.

At Writing Hour, we know that every sentence is an accomplishment, curiosity is more generative than certainty, and creativity thrives in community.

Writing Hour is always free.

Writing hour is currently on a break!

We’ve taken our scheduled September Writing Hour off the calendar, but we’ll have updates to share here (and in our newsletter and social media) in early fall.
